Reading – Wednesday, 9 September 2015, Lynx Software Technologies is focusing on the security and performance of connected Smart Systems at the second Bits&Chips Smart Systems exhibition and conference in the Netherlands, 1 October 2015.

Lynx will deliver a paper on Building a secure IoT infrastructure and will be showing how its LynxSecure and LynxOS 7.0 technology can make smart systems secure by design.

The paper, delivered by Mark Pitchford, Technical Manager, EMEA looks at designing connected embedded devices to support the cloud, multi-tenancy and App Stores securely. He will show how secure separation can be achieved even within constrained IoT device architectures to deliver the benefits of connectivity without risking the integrity of the device.

Visitors to the event can also view demonstrations of the LynxSecure Separation Kernel Hypervisor and LynxOS 7.0. The separation kernel and “Type-0” hypervisor is an award winning bare-metal architecture, designed from the ground up, that differentiates from type 1 hypervisors by removing the un-needed functionality from the “security sensitive” hypervisor mode, yet virtualizes guest OSes in a tiny stand-alone package.

Lynx will also be demonstrating LynxOS 7.0, a deterministic, hard real-time operating system that provides POSIX conformant API’s in a small footprint embedded kernel. Alongside the upcoming ARM support, LynxOS 7.0 currently supports the most popular reference targets in the Intel and PowerPC architectures including the new Intel 4th Generation Core, and the Freescale QorIQ processors.
