LynuxWorks to demonstrate new technology and initiatives to DoD and intelligence-community gathering

SAN DIEGO, Calif., August 31 , 2009—LynuxWorks™, Inc., a world leader in embedded software, today announced that it will be exhibiting at the 2009 Unified Cross Domain Management Office (UCDMO) Conference from August 31 to September 3. At the show, LynuxWorks will be demonstrating LynxSecure 3.0, the latest version of their next-generation separation kernel and embedded hypervisor designed for high-assurance systems.

lynxxsecure-50pxLynxSecure provides a standards-based secure multi-domain platform which can be used as a foundation for cross-domain systems with low-, medium- and high-assurance requirements. It is being used on the Navy’s Common Display System Program, a high-assurance MLS workstation for deployment across surface ships that will be evaluated to EAL level 7.

LynxSecure 3.0 preserves investment in legacy systems with its unique ability to run fully virtualized guest operating systems such as Windows® simultaneously on the same hardware with Linux® or other real-time operating systems with each OS running in its own secure partition.

“LynxSecure’s flexibility for different security architectures, along with its performance leadership, provides the ideal platform to build MLS and CDS systems,” said Steve Blackman, Director of Business Development at LynuxWorks. “LynxSecure is recognized as the performance leader in secure virtualization because of its support for multiple cores and utilization of Intel VT (Virtual Technology) for hardware acceleration of virtualization functions. Other solutions only utilize a single core, even if multiple cores are on the silicon.”

The UCDMO provides centralized coordination and oversight of all cross-domain initiatives across the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. This year’s conference explores reciprocity as a key component for transparent information sharing. By establishing common, coherent and consistent practices, UCDMO helps move communities closer to the goal of seamless information sharing through a unified approach of engagement, education, socialization and motivation.

Over 600 attendees and more than 50 companies showcasing their latest mission related technologies are expected to attend the show. More information can be found at: https://www.ncsi.com/ucdmo09/index.shtml.
