Company to show new technology for aerospace and defense industry
MILCOM 2009 CONFERENCE (Booth 864), BOSTON—Oct. 19, 2009
—LynuxWorks™, Inc., a world leader in the embedded software market, today announced that it will be demonstrating its new LynxSecure 3.1 RTOS (real-time operating system) at the MILCOM 2009 conference in booth No. 864. LynxSecure 3.1 is the most advanced separation kernel and embedded hypervisor, running multiple different guest operating systems (OS) in a secure multi-core system.
Based on multiple independent levels of security (MILS) architecture and designed to be evaluated to Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 7, LynxSecure offers the ultimate in design flexibility and performance while maintaining a secure separation environment. The live demonstration at MILCOM will showcase a fully virtualized Windows® operating system running on the same hardware as a para-virtualized Linux taking advantage of an Intel-based multi-core processor system. Technical specialists from LynuxWorks and virtualization technology representatives from Intel will be on hand to discuss the technical aspects of virtualization and separation and how it pertains to information assurance.
At the MILCOM booth, LynuxWorks will also show the latest version of the LynxOS-178 operating system, which is the only OS awarded a reusable software component (RSC) by the FAA. This rating offers re-use credit when going through a FAA flight certification for savings in time, expense and risk when developing software for avionics systems. LynxOS-178 is also based on open standards, having a native POSIX API for the OS and using an ARINC-653 scheduling and inter-partition communication scheme. LynxOS-178 will be running live on a Power Architecture platform.
When: Oct. 18 – 21, 2009
Where: MILCOM 2009
